What is a man perm? Well, it’s a perm done on a man. I find it kind of ridiculous that there has to be a word men in front of it in order for it to be socially acceptable for a man that wants to perm his hair to feel comfortable in his choice to wanting one. Whatever the reason, it’s an extremely popular service here at Lotte Hair Salon. In fact, it’s one of our specialties that we are proud of because we’ve seen the positive reaction from our male clientele about how happy they are to finally have a hairstyle that’s pretty easy to manage!
I know most guys are not familiar with this service, heck, most might not even know it exists so I’m here to tell you as much as possible so you know your options. I think when people hear the word “perm”, they automatically think of the 80’s perm that all the little old ladies are still getting where it’s super duper curly like a poodle, but that’s not always the case. There are many varieties depending on what size rods you roll the perm with and what direction you place them, so you can get it as tight of a curl as you want or as loose of a wave also. Best bet is to always come with a photo of exactly what you want so there’s a common understanding of visual. Perming your hair is one way to give it a new style, but you may be surprised to learn that it’s not just for looks, but also for practicality.
Why would one want a “man perm”?
Maybe you lost a silly bet that one of your buddies dared you to go get a perm, you’ll be in for a pleasant experience if done right that you probably will end up actually digging the look.
Problem solvers
If you have stubborn, stick straight hair, perms actually soften your hair by breaking down the bonds making it easier to lay down.
If you have finer hair, adding some bounce will give you volume.
If you're bored, perm will definitely add some spice in your life.
Maintenance
There’s basically no maintenance for a perm. Besides having to wait 48 whole hours before shampooing your hair after you get it permed, there’s nothing else you need to do on your part to maintain it. The part that has been perm will stay permed, even when the roots start growing out, it will just be more of a wavy look. You can literally walk out of the shower, maybe put some moose & let it naturally dry. If you want a looser look, you can blow dry it. It’s so versatile depending on your mood. And the perm lasts until you decide to cut it off.
Warning
You’ll probably be the center of attention after getting your perm. We are not responsible for any inconvenience that you may face from girls that are blowing up your phone because you are too damn attractive now.
